🏹 Archery at EuroGames Lyon 2025: Precision and Inclusion
The Archery competitions at EuroGames Lyon 2025 will take place on July 24 and 25, 2025, at the Petite Prairie de la Plaine de Gerland, in partnership with the Lions du 8ème. Combining strength, endurance, and dexterity, this sport challenges participants to demonstrate precision and consistency in an inclusive and welcoming environment.
🏹 Competition Format
The events will be held as outdoor archery (international distance) and are organized in two formats:
- Individual: Participants are grouped by bow type (Recurve, Compound, Barebow, Barebow Beginner) and gender category (MEN, WOMEN, NON-BINARY). Para-sport categories are also available.
- Team: Mixed-gender teams (3 to 4 participants) are grouped by bow type (Recurve, Compound, Barebow, Barebow Beginner).
Shooting distances:
- Recurve: 70 m – 122 cm target face
- Compound: 50 m – 80 cm reduced target face
- Barebow: 50 m – 122 cm target face
- Barebow Beginner: 20 m – 122 cm target face
The competition will start with qualifying rounds (2×36 arrows), followed by individual finals (elimination matches), and then team finals (elimination matches).
🏹 Participation and Registration
- Individual: During registration, participants must select their bow type (Recurve, Compound, Barebow, Barebow Beginner) and their gender category (MEN, WOMEN, NON-BINARY).
- Team: Teams must consist of 3 to 4 participants. If you wish to compete in a team but don’t currently have one, indicate this during registration. Incomplete teams can also request additional participants to join.
