The association Les Dérailleurs, partner of LYON 2025, invites you to a friendly and sporty MTB ride through the hills surrounding Lyon. Hop on for a scenic loop mixing forest trails, breathtaking views, and local heritage discovery!

🗺️ Route Summary
Starting from Parc de la Tête d’Or, we’ll follow the Saône riverbanks to climb the Monts d’Or. This limestone range northwest of Lyon offers sublime landscapes and exceptional views over the city. Our ascent will include the charming Rochecardon stream trail. Then, we’ll pass along the Saint-Fortunat ridges, the Chemin des Vignes, and discover a restored caborne, a traditional stone shelter once used by shepherds.
We’ll stop at Saint-Cyr-au-Mont-d’Or for a panoramic view of Lyon, then descend toward Île Barbe, finishing gently along the Saône river back to the city center.
