Eurogames Lyon 2025 - July 23 to 26, 2025

Accompanying Persons

Are you accompanying an athlete during the EuroGames? Whether you’re a coach, parent, partner, friend, or supporter? You’re welcome! Here’s everything you need to know to fully enjoy the event in Lyon.

Companions: request your accreditation!

A wristband gives you access to key areas during the event. Anyone accompanying a participant can apply – there’s no limit per athlete.

❓ Who is a companion?

Accompanying persons are individuals who attend the event alongside athletes without being registered for a competition. Their role is non-competitive, but essential for support, logistics, or guidance.

They can be:

  • 👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 A family member: parent, sibling, partner, child…

  • 🎤 A close or distant friend coming to support an athlete

  • 🧢 A coach or trainer

  • 👭 A club or team member providing support (even without an official role)

  • 📸 A personal photographer or videographer accompanying a team

  • 🧍‍♂️ An assistant for a person with a disability

  • 🎉 A supporter identified as part of an athlete’s group

  • 🧳 A travel companion (e.g. friend sharing the trip with an athlete)

Companions can receive a purple wristband giving access to several event areas.

There is no limit per athlete.
Anyone wishing to accompany a participant is invited to make a request.
Once your request has been submitted, you can collect your wristband:

  • At the EuroGames main welcome desk – Lyon City Hall
  • Or at the entrance of the sports venue you are attending

Wearing the wristband is mandatory to access authorized areas.

With the accompanying person accreditation, you have access to:

  • The public areas of the sports venues (stands, spectator zones)
  • The Athletes’ Village every evening (food trucks, entertainment, meet-ups)
  • Chill areas, free-access relaxation zones

Companions can order their lunch (€13), delivered directly to the venue.
