Saturday, July 26: This is a unique opportunity to discover the exhilarating sensations of track speed! You will be accompanied by Marie Patouillet, Paralympic track champion at the Paris Games!

With a 333.33m track length and 43° banked turns, all outdoors, the Parc de la Tête d’Or velodrome has hosted a World Track Championships before and still hosts many competitions today.

For this introduction session, we’ll lend you a track bike: without brakes or freewheels!

Two 45-minute sessions will be offered on Saturday, July 26:

  • 11:00-11:45 a.m., please plan to arrive at 10:30 a.m.
  • 12:00-12:45 p.m., please plan to arrive at 11:30 a.m.

Equipment

  • Helmet (mandatory, no loaners available)
  • Gloves (strongly recommended)

Look Keo pedals are installed on the bikes. If you have these cleats, bring your own shoes. It will also be possible to install your own clipless pedals. Please let us know if you need to borrow clipless pedals and shoes. Otherwise, you can do the introduction with flat pedals, but you will not be able to ride uphill in the bends.

Note

In case of rain, the introduction will be canceled for safety reasons.
