LYON 2025 – EUROGAMES is committed to ensuring the safety of all participants, volunteers, and organizers. In accordance with regulations, the association has taken out the necessary insurance for organizing EuroGames 2025, including the following elements in the participants’ registration fees:
🚀 Civil Liability for Event Organizers (mandatory)

The insurance also includes crisis management with psychological support in the event of serious accidents, assault, death of a close relative, or natural disasters.
Optional Coverages (available at participants' discretion)
To ensure optimal coverage during your participation in the EUROGAMES Lyon 2025, several options are offered by the event organizer’s insurer. While these coverages are optional, they are strongly recommended for complete protection during the event.
The available options are as follows:
Option 1 – Instant Medical Coverage : 5€ per person
This option covers medical expenses from the first euro spent, for any necessary medical intervention during the event.
Accident Coverage | Maximum Coverage Amounts | Deductibles |
---|---|---|
Reimbursement for additional medical expenses, including:
| Actual expenses up to 15,000 € per insured person, including:
| 50 € (absolute deductible) |
Reimbursement Terms:
The insurer reimburses the participant for the medical expenses remaining after coverage from Social Security, mutual insurance, or any other health insurance in the participant’s country of residence, provided the total reimbursement does not exceed actual costs.
The participant must submit :
- Original statements from Social Security and/or insurance showing the amounts reimbursed,
- Original hospital bills,
- Copies of invoices for care expenses.
If these documents are not provided, the insurer cannot process the reimbursement.
In cases where no reimbursement is received from other insurance, the participant must provide original invoices and an official statement of non-coverage.
Example 1 (for French participants covered by a mandatory and/or complementary health insurance):
If you are injured during a EuroGames competition and need treatment for a broken tooth, Social Security and your mutual insurance cover part of the costs, but you still owe €300. With this option, the insurer reimburses the remaining amount after you provide the necessary documentation. If you also need to purchase glasses after the accident, the insurer covers up to €200 for those expenses.
Example 2 (for foreign participants):
A foreign participant sustains an injury during a EuroGames competition requiring emergency medical care. Since they are not covered by French Social Security and their foreign health insurance does not cover treatment in France, this option reimburses up to €15,000 in medical expenses. For instance, if you suffer a fracture needing optical care (€200) and dental repair (€300), the insurer will reimburse you for these costs, provided you submit the necessary invoices and supporting documents.
ADDITIONAL SPECIFIC EXCLUSIONS:
In addition to the exclusions outlined in the General Provisions GA0023D, the following are not eligible for reimbursement:
- TREATMENTS FOR PSYCHOTHERAPY, PSYCHIATRY, PSYCHOANALYSIS, MENTAL, DEPRESSIVE, OR NERVOUS DISORDERS,
- PROSTHETIC AND APPARATUS COSTS NOT MENTIONED UNDER “REIMBURSEMENT OF MEDICAL EXPENSES,”
- MEDICAL AND SURGICAL EXPENSES FOR COSMETIC PURPOSES,
- MEDICAL EXPENSES FOR EXPERIMENTAL TREATMENTS NOT RECOGNIZED BY THE MEDICAL COMMUNITY,
- DAMAGES RESULTING FROM THEFT, DISAPPEARANCE, OR LOSS,
- SUNGLASSES OR NON-PRESCRIPTION EYEWEAR,
- RECURRENT TRANSPORT COSTS LINKED TO CHRONIC CONDITIONS,
- NON-FUNCTIONAL OR MOTOR REHABILITATION TREATMENTS,
- EXPENSES INCURRED MORE THAN TWO YEARS AFTER THE ACCIDENT,
- MAINTENANCE AND REPLACEMENT OF PROSTHETIC DEVICES.
Option No. 2 – Daily Support Allowance : 10€ per person
In case of an accident or temporary incapacity, this option provides a daily indemnity for the duration of your incapacity.
Accident Coverage | Maximum Coverage Amounts | Deductibles |
---|---|---|
Loss of income (daily indemnity) | 16 €/day Maximum indemnification period: 365 days | 5-day absolute deductible |
The daily indemnity will be paid to the participant during the period of total temporary incapacity after a 5-day deductible period.
However, this payment cannot exceed 365 days per accident, or the date when the participant’s condition stabilizes in case of permanent total or partial disability.
If the covered accident results in hospitalization for more than 3 days, the daily indemnity will be paid from the first day of hospitalization, within the limit of 365 days. The coverage also applies to home hospitalization as defined by public health regulations and prescribed by a hospital doctor.
Outside of Western Europe, daily indemnity coverage for accidents applies only during hospitalization. Western Europe excludes Albania, Bulgaria, Hungary, Poland, Romania, the Czech and Slovak Republics, and former USSR territories.
The daily indemnity payments cease as soon as the participant resumes any form of professional activity, even partially.
Example 1: Salaried Participant in France
A salaried employee is injured during an event at the EuroGames and is unable to work for 30 days. After a 5-day deductible, the participant receives a daily indemnity of €16 for the remaining 25 days. This amount is in addition to any benefits from Social Security and supplemental insurance, providing extra income during the recovery period.
Total amount: 25 days x €16 = €400.
Example 2: Unemployed French Participant
An unemployed participant is injured during an event. Without Social Security or insurance, they receive €16/day after a 5-day waiting period. For a 15-day incapacity, they are compensated for 10 days.
Total amount: 10 days x €16 = €160.
Example 3: Self-employed Worker (TNS) in France, with or without Insurance
A self-employed worker with no disability insurance is injured and unable to work for a month. With this option, after 5 days, they receive €16/day for 25 days. If they already have insurance, this indemnity is added to the disability insurance payments to cover their loss of income.
Total amount: 25 days x €16 = €400.
Example 4: Foreign Participant (outside Western Europe)
A participant from a non-Western European country (e.g., Hungary) is injured and hospitalized for 10 days. As they are outside Western Europe, the indemnity is only paid for the duration of hospitalization, starting from the first day.
Total amount: 10 days x €16 = €160.
ADDITIONAL SPECIFIC EXCLUSIONS:
THE FOLLOWING ARE EXCLUDED:
- STAYS IN SPECIALIZED FACILITIES: CONVALESCENT HOMES, REST HOMES, DIETARY CENTERS, NURSING HOMES, SANATORIUMS, PREVENTORIA, PROFESSIONAL REHABILITATION CENTERS, ETC.

Accident Coverage | Maximum Coverage Amounts | Deductibles |
---|---|---|

These options are offered to ensure you are adequately covered throughout your participation in the EUROGAMES Lyon 2025. Membership is optional but strongly recommended.
As you may know, most standard personal insurance policies (such as those provided by credit cards, home insurance, bank loans, etc.) generally exclude any participation, whether amateur or professional, in a sports competition. Therefore, the risks associated with your participation in the EUROGAMES Lyon 2025 may not be covered by your current insurance.
This is why it is important to review the guarantees (and exclusions) of your daily insurance policies. If there are gaps, or as a complement to your insurance, we encourage you to subscribe to the options offered above for comprehensive protection.
The basic and optional guarantees are effective in mainland France only during the following activities within the EUROGAMES 2025 organized by the Subscriber:
- The sports activities in which participants are registered
- Participation in festive events, excluding the consequences of the use of motor vehicles, and only when these activities are organized during the event and by the organizing team;
