Outreach Program
Request support or contribute to the
Outreach program by making a donation
The main goal of the Outreach Program is to provide financial support to those who cannot participate without assistance. This program specifically targets women, TIN individuals (Trans, Intersex, and Non-binary), people from Eastern and Southern Europe, as well as people with disabilities.
The application form will be available once registration opens on November 1, 2024.
Application Process
To apply for the Outreach Program, please complete the application form. This form must include an estimate of expected costs, your motivations, and a letter of support from another party (such as a sports club, a local LGBTIQ+ organization, an employer, etc.). Incomplete applications will not be considered. Support will not be extended to individuals accompanying the applicants. If you are participating as a team or duo and your teammates also wish to benefit from the program, you must submit your applications together in the same session.
If you are unable to pay the registration fees while awaiting a response, please send an email to outreach@lyon2025.com to obtain a discount code that will allow you to register for free until your application is processed.
Two application periods will be open. Please note that the following dates and sessions may be subject to change. At the end of each session, all applications will be reviewed, and applicants will be informed after the session closes. For example, applicants from the first session will be notified in February 2025.
The sessions are as follows:
- 1st November 2024 – 31st January 2025
- 1st February – 31st March 2025
If you have any questions or require support, please contact: outreach@lyon2025.com.
Scope of the Application
Eligibility Criteria
The Outreach Program is open to individuals who identify as LGBTIQ+ and wish to actively participate in at least one sport at the EuroGames Lyon 2025.
Those who may not have the financial means to participate can receive support if they are in the following situations:
- Individuals living in Council of Europe member countries (+ Russia and Belarus) where LGBTIQ+ rights are very limited or non-existent. Eligibility will be determined based on the ILGA’s Rainbow Europe Map and Index, which ranks European countries according to their LGBTIQ+ equality laws.
- Individuals from these countries who are currently residing in another country, facing financial difficulties or discrimination due to their migrant or refugee status.
Priority will be given to women, lesbians, as well as trans, intersex, and non-binary people.
