🏐 Volleyball at EuroGames Lyon 2025

The Volleyball section of CARGO, the VCGL association, and the Contrepied association are thrilled to offer you the biggest LGBTQIA+ volleyball event of the year, during the EuroGames 2025 in Lyon!

Join us for three days of intense competition, with 2 days of matches and 1 day of finals for all levels and all competitions. Whether you are in a mixed, men’s, or FLINTA team (Women, Lesbians, Intersex, Non-binary, Trans, and Agender), come show your skills and celebrate volleyball in the heart of Lyon!

Registration without a team is not possible.

Tournaments

A men’s/mixed tournament with a net height of 2.43m, open to everyone.
Categories: A, B+, B, B-, C+, C-

A FLINTA tournament with a net height of 2.24m.
Categories: A/B+, B-/C

(Note: levels may be modified or combined depending on the number of participants.)

Important

Teams from different levels may play against each other if there are not enough registrations to organize separate tournaments.

Please carefully select your level to avoid an imbalance in the competition. If in doubt, opt for the higher level.

Participants can only play on one team.

The tournament will follow the rules of the International Volleyball Federation (FIVB).

♿ Parasport – Volleyball

The volleyball tournament at EuroGames Lyon 2025 will take place in a venue that is accessible to people with reduced mobility (PMR). However, if you have a disability and wish to participate, we encourage you to contact our team. We will do everything possible to adapt the competition to ensure you can play under the best conditions. Our goal is to make the tournament accessible to everyone.

We are organising two separate tournaments:

Men’s/mixed tournament: Open to everyone, with a net height of 2.43m.
FLINTA Tournament (Women, Lesbian, Intersex, Non-binary, Trans and Agender): With a net height of 2.24m 🏐.

The categories are as follows:

Men’s/mixed tournament: A, B+, B, B-, C+, C-.
FLINTA tournament: A/B+, B-/C
Levels may be grouped together if there are not enough players in certain categories 🔢.

Registration is by team. It is important to choose your level carefully to ensure a balanced competition. If you are unsure of your level, we advise you to register in a higher category to avoid any competitive imbalance 📋.

The tournament follows the official rules of the International Volleyball Federation (FIVB). Full details of the structure and running of the matches will be announced at a later date ⚖️.

If there are not enough entries in a category, teams of different levels may be invited to compete against each other. This will keep the competition fair and fluid ⚠️.
