Jérémy Stravius
Olympic Swimmer
Jérémy Stravius, a renowned French athlete, is a legendary figure in the world of swimming. Born in 1988 in Abbeville, he has left a lasting mark on the sport with his exceptional achievements and versatility in the pool.
After winning the 100-meter backstroke world title in 2011 in Shanghai, tying with Camille Lacourt, Jérémy continued to build an impressive track record. In 2013, at the World Championships in Barcelona, he claimed two gold medals in relay events: the 4x100-meter freestyle and the 4x100-meter medley relay.
In 2014, at the European Championships in Berlin, he won another gold medal with the 4x100-meter freestyle relay, further cementing his place among Europe's top swimmers.
After a career filled with remarkable successes, Jérémy announced his retirement from competitive swimming in January 2020 at the age of 31.

Marie Patouillet
Paralympic Champion, Paris 2024 Gold Medallist
Marie Patouillet is a Paralympic athlete and dedicated activist.
Since 2018, she has competed in both road and track cycling, where she quickly made a name for herself. She became world road champion in 2022 and won gold and silver medals in track cycling at the Paris 2024 Paralympic Games. She is also a general practitioner.
Marie Patouillet is actively involved in the fight against discrimination, advocating for a more inclusive sports environment and greater visibility for LGBTQIA+ individuals in sports.

Jordan Broisin
Para Alpine Skier
French Paralympic athlete Jordan Broisin is an inspirational figure in para-alpine skiing. In 2009, a motorbike accident cost him his left leg and caused nerve damage to his left shoulder. Despite the ordeal, Jordan returned to the slopes that same year, determined to pursue his passion.
After intensive rehabilitation, he joined the France Handisport ski team in 2015. Jordan quickly distinguished himself by his talent and perseverance. In 2023, he reached his first international podium at the Para-Alpine Skiing World Championships in Espot, Spain, winning the title of runner-up in the slalom.

Dimitri Pavadé
Para Athlet
Dimitri Pavadé, a French Paralympic athlete, is an emblematic figure in para athletics. Born on August 14th, 1989, in Le Port on the island of Réunion, his life took a dramatic turn in 2007 when a workplace accident led to the amputation of his right leg. Determined to overcome this challenge, he left his native land in 2013 to settle in mainland France and train as an orthoprosthetic technician.
It was in 2016 that Dimitri discovered running blades, a revelation that quickly propelled him to the highest level of competition. At the Jeux de la Francophonie in 2017 in Abidjan, he distinguished himself by winning two gold medals in the 200 meters and the long jump. The following year, he joined the French national para-athletics team and competed in the European Championships in Berlin.
His breakthrough came in 2019 at the World Championships in Dubai, where he won the silver medal in the T64 long jump with a leap of 7.25 meters. This performance opened the doors to the Tokyo Paralympic Games in 2021, where he became the Paralympic vice-champion with a jump of 7.39 meters, placing second behind Germany's Markus Rehm. In 2024, at the French Championships, he set a new national record in the long jump with a leap of 7.59 meters. However, at the Paris Paralympic Games later that year, a right knee injury hampered him, and he finished fourth.

Nikki Symmons
International Hockey Player
In partnership with Compete Proud, Nikki Symmons is one of the ambassadors of EuroGames Lyon 2025. A former international hockey player, she spent 13 years competing at the highest level with the Irish national team. She was the first female athlete in Ireland to publicly come out as gay, and is now a respected voice for inclusion in sports.
A communications professional, educator, and author, Nikki draws on her life experience to advance inclusion, equity, and diversity. She proudly founded Stripes Global, the first global LGBTQIA+ Employee Resource Group (ERG) within her company.
In 2020, she co-authored a chapter in When the World Stops Watching, a book reflecting on her personal journey and commitment. Today, she continues her work as a leader and trusted advisor to senior executives, using her strong interpersonal skills to help build more inclusive environments in and beyond the world of sports.

Matthew Mitcham
Professional Diver, Olympic Medallist
In partnership with Compete Proud, Matthew Mitcham is one of the ambassadors of EuroGames Lyon 2025. With an 18-year career in diving, he is one of the few athletes to achieve the golden trifecta: Olympic Games (2008), World Cup (2010), and Commonwealth Games (2014).
His win at the 2008 Beijing Olympics made history—not only for earning the highest-scoring dive in Olympic history, but also for being the first openly gay Olympic Champion, after coming out before the Games.
Since then, Matthew has used his visibility as an ambassador, speaker, and performer to advocate for mental health, wellbeing, and LGBTQIA+ rights.
