🏀 Basketball at EuroGames Lyon 2025
We are excited to welcome you to the basketball tournament at EuroGames Lyon 2025! Whether you are a competitor or a casual player, tournaments for all levels await you, with categories for Women and FLINTA, Men, and Mixed teams. Please note that some levels may be merged depending on the number of registrations.
Matches will follow FIBA rules, with a few adjustments for game duration, free throws, and team and individual fouls. Each match will consist of two 10-minute halves.
Each team must have between 5 and 11 players, with at least 7 players per team recommended. Women’s teams will use size 6 balls, while men’s and mixed teams will play with size 7 balls.

📋 Registration
- You can register as a team or individually.
- Team captains are encouraged to register first to create the team name.
- Registration fees are per person.
🏟️ Venues
Matches will take place over two days in two adjacent gyms: Genety Gym and Roger Duplat Gym (Lyon 1).
🏆 Format

Teams will compete in a pool phase, with the top-ranked teams advancing to the semi-finals and finals. - Recreational level
Each team will play against all other teams in the same category.

Unfortunately, the basketball tournaments at EuroGames Lyon 2025 will not be accessible to people with disabilities. We recognize the importance of inclusion, but due to technical and organizational constraints, it is not possible to adapt the competition for parasport this time.
