🥋 Karate at EuroGames Lyon 2025: Mastery of Body and Mind
Karate takes center stage at EuroGames Lyon 2025 with three days of competitions at the Gymnase Charial, from July 24, 2025. This Japanese martial art combines physical and mental mastery, defensive techniques, and sportsmanship in an inclusive and welcoming environment.

Karate offers two competition formats:
- Sparring: One-on-one matches organized in group stages, elimination rounds, and finals.
- Form: Codified sequences of techniques, movements, and stances, performed individually or in teams.
📅 Karate Schedule
- Thursday, July 24: Morning training session
- Afternoon: Sparring and Form (individual and team events)
⚖️ Categories
Participants will be grouped based on:
Weight: Classified by weight categories.
Skill Level (Belt Color):
- Beginner: White, Yellow, Orange
- Intermediate: Green, Blue
- Advanced: Brown, Black
Events are open to Men, Women, and Mixed categories, individually or in teams.
