🥋 Martial Arts at EuroGames Lyon 2025: Mastery, Diversity, and Exchange
Martial Arts will take center stage at EuroGames Lyon 2025 with three days of workshops, training, and competitions at the Gymnase Charial, from July 24 to 26, 2025. This inclusive event brings together a wide variety of martial disciplines, blending physical and mental mastery, self-defense techniques, and sportsmanship.
The competitions and workshops will follow the official rules of the IAGLMA (International Association of Gay and Lesbian Martial Artists), ensuring a fair and respectful environment for all participants.
Martial Arts Program
- July 24 (afternoon): IAGLMA Refereeing Clinic
- July 25: Multi-Martial Arts Workshops (Pink Power)
- July 26: Competitions
The competitions will feature adapted formats to promote inclusivity and diversity within martial disciplines.
Events and Categories
The events will be organized around two main formats:
- Sparring: One-on-one bouts organized in group stages, elimination rounds, and finals.
- Form: Codified sequences of techniques, movements, and stances, performed individually or in teams.
Categories:
- Weight: Participants will be grouped by weight category.
- Skill Level: Beginner (White, Yellow, Orange), Intermediate (Green, Blue), Advanced (Brown, Black).
The events are open to Men, Women, and Mixed categories, both individually and in teams.

Yes, of course! The competitions are open to spectators. Come and cheer on the teams and athletes and enjoy the unique atmosphere of this inclusive sporting event that celebrates diversity. Admission is free for spectators and the atmosphere is guaranteed!

Participants are divided by :
- Weight: category according to the fighter’s weight.
- Level (belt): Beginner (White, Yellow, Orange), Intermediate (Green, Blue), Advanced (Brown, Black).

Yes, a morning of training is scheduled for Friday 25 July.
Entries are made according to weight category and level (belt colour), either individually or as part of a team.
