GOVERNMENT

The EuroGames Lyon 2025, Europe’s largest inclusive sports festival, benefits from the strong support of the French government and the Ministry of Sports, through the Interministerial Delegation for Major Sporting Events (DIGES). This commitment reflects the State’s dedication to promoting sports accessible to all, without discrimination, in alignment with the values of inclusion and equality.

Thanks to DIGES’ support, the EuroGames are fully integrated into France’s national strategy for major sporting events, maximizing their impact in terms of territorial development, accessibility, and long-term social legacy. This partnership helps secure essential funding, ensuring adequate infrastructure, optimized reception and security measures, and enhanced logistical support for the thousands of athletes and visitors expected.

Beyond financial support, the government’s involvement translates into effective institutional coordination, facilitating exchanges between various stakeholders (local authorities, federations, sports clubs, and associations). This engagement also enables the implementation of structural initiatives, such as volunteer training, awareness campaigns against discrimination, and the development of more inclusive sports practices over the long term.

DILCRAH

DILCRAH (Délégation Interministérielle à la Lutte contre le Racisme, l’Antisémitisme et la Haine anti-LGBT) is a French public institution created in 2014. Its mission is to coordinate the State’s actions in the fight against racism, anti-Semitism and all forms of discrimination, including anti-LGBT hatred. Reporting to the Prime Minister, the DILCRAH draws up national action plans, supports local initiatives and works closely with associations, institutions and civil society players. Its aim is to promote a fairer, more egalitarian and inclusive society by raising public awareness, training professionals and supporting victims of discrimination.

Valencia 2026 Gay Games

The Gay Games Valencia 2026 are proud to support EuroGames Lyon 2025, a key event for inclusive sports in Europe. More than just a competition, these games carry a strong message: fighting against discrimination and promoting sports that are accessible to all, regardless of sexual orientation, gender identity, or gender expression.

Since 1982, the Gay Games and EuroGames have shared the same mission: celebrating diversity and making sports a tool for inclusion and empowerment. We know that many challenges remain, from gender stereotypes to LGBTQIphobia in sports. This is why we fully support EuroGames Lyon 2025, which will champion these values through 35 sports disciplines, a cultural program, and a strong commitment to inclusion.

Cardiff 2027 EuroGames

The EuroGames 2027 will take place in Cardiff!

After Lyon in 2025, the city of Cardiff will host the EuroGames 2027, continuing the mission of promoting inclusive and accessible sports for all. As the vibrant capital of Wales, Cardiff is committed to delivering an exceptional event where diversity, respect, and inclusion will be at the heart of both the competitions and celebrations.

Organized by the EGLSF (European Gay & Lesbian Sport Federation), the EuroGames are Europe’s largest inclusive sports festival, bringing together thousands of athletes from all backgrounds and identities. In 2027, Cardiff will showcase a wide range of sports disciplines, a cultural and festive program, and a strong commitment to equality and diversity in sports.

The EGLSF (European Gay & Lesbian Sport Federation) is a European organization committed to promoting inclusion and equality in sports. Founded in 1989, it works to eliminate discrimination based on sexual orientation and gender identity. With over 120 LGBT+ sports clubs across Europe, the EGLSF licenses events such as the EuroGames. The federation collaborates with European institutions, sports federations, and local associations to promote the rights of LGBT+ individuals and ensure that sports are a safe and inclusive space for everyone.

Autre Cercle – Aura

L’Autre Cercle Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes, a leading advocate for LGBTQI+ inclusion in the professional world, partners with EuroGames Lyon 2025.

Convinced that equality and diversity should be realities in all areas of society, the association sees this event as an exceptional opportunity to highlight shared values of respect and humanism in the fight against discrimination and the promotion of inclusion.

For over 25 years, L’Autre Cercle has worked to ensure an inclusive and supportive professional environment, guiding employers in developing diversity policies, notably through the LGBT+ Commitment Charter. The association also strives to change mindsets by promoting LGBT+ and Ally Role Models in the workplace. However, discrimination based on sexual orientation and gender identity does not stop at the doors of businesses—it also exists in sports, where many barriers persist for LGBTQI+ individuals, including gender stereotypes, implicit or explicit exclusions, and gender-based and sexual violence.

By bringing its expertise and network, L’Autre Cercle Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes helps strengthen the impact of the EuroGames and build bridges between the professional and sports worlds. The association encourages its partner organizations to support this event, convinced that best practices in workplace inclusion can also be applied to sports.

This partnership demonstrates a strong alignment between two essential causes: diversity in the workplace and inclusive sports for all. SOS Homophobie

SOS Homophobie, committed to inclusive sports with EuroGames Lyon 2025.

SOS Homophobie is a feminist organization fighting against lesbophobia, gayphobia, biphobia, transphobia, and intersexophobia. It is built on three core values: kindness, inclusion, and independence, and pursues three main missions: support, prevention, and advocacy.

Through awareness-raising actions in schools and workplaces, the organization of festive and activist events, the publication of reports and surveys, legal assistance, and youth prevention efforts, the association’s volunteers work daily to combat discrimination.

True to its values, SOS Homophobie actively supports EuroGames Lyon 2025, the largest inclusive sports festival in Europe. This event represents a unique opportunity to promote diversity and equality in sports, allowing everyone, regardless of their identity or orientation, to practice sports without fear of discrimination.

The Lyon delegation, particularly active, is deeply rooted in the local community through its numerous interventions and partnerships with public institutions, its presence at the Lyon LGBTI+ Center, and its involvement in inter-associative projects. Covering a vast territory (Ain, Ardèche, Côte d’Or, Doubs, Jura, Loire, Rhône, Haute-Savoie, and Saône-et-Loire), it works to make inclusion in sports a reality across the region.
