The Lyon 2025 Team
France LGBT+ Sport Federation & sports organisations stand behind this application to organising and hosting the EuroGames in Lyon, France, from July 23 to 26, 2025! This is a collective decision, cast by the 55 LGBT+ sports organisations representing 6 000+ members across France.

Its board of directors is composed of an equal number of members from CARGO, and the French Federation of LGBT+ Sports; those 2 organisations bring a solid background and skills to organise large sport events: TIP, Tigaly, Gay Games Paris 2018.
CARGO Lyon Sport

Every 2 years, CARGO organizes the International sport competition, TIGALY. 7 sports with more than 1,000 athletes and 1,800 participants with 20% coming from abroad.
The largest LGBT+ sport and cultural organization in France. Created in 1998 in Lyon, CARGO (Cercle Associatif Rhône Alpin Gay Omni sport), has grown up to offer more than 10 different activities of which Badminton, Volleyball, Swimming, Squash, Handball, Football, Self Defense, Crossfit, Running and Choral.
CARGO is promoting “sport for all” with an active inclusion and diversity policy in particular for Transgender and desabled people, member of the French Parasport Organization since 2020.

Each year, the Federation organizes an inter national tournament in Paris bringing together more than 3,000 athletes of all nationalities during 3 days.
The French Federation of LGBT+ Sports mission is to organise, develop and coordinate sports and physical activities within an explicitly open-minded and caring framework towards LGBT people, without excluding any other person throughout French national territory. Since 1986,the federation has worked with all national and European institutions to fight against discrimination by and in sport.

Just like our conception of the EuroGames 2025, our team is made of multiple complementary personalities dedicated to build together an ambitious project.
Led by a project management team, the operational board of LYON 2025 is composed of 12 different directors, each in charge of one of the operation components of the event (Sports, Marketing Communication, Logistic, Inclusion & diversity, Finance…) A strategic board composed of all critical key players (City of Lyon, Metropolis of Lyon, OSL, EGLSF…) is to provide guidance, support and advice in the fields of logistic, security, promotion and marketing, ensuring strong alignment and synergies across.
