Eurogames Lyon 2025

Accessibility &
Parasport

At EuroGames Lyon 2025, we are committed to promoting broad inclusion in sport. Beyond supporting LGBTQIA+ communities, we have also implemented initiatives to support individuals with limited financial resources through our Outreach program. We are also working to make our competitions and events accessible to people with disabilities.

On this page, you will find all the information related to the accessibility of sports disciplines and events. For any questions or further information, feel free to contact us at: inclusion@lyon2025.com .

We also invite you to visit the official government website listing accessible locations .

The accommodations offered on our platform are accessible to individuals with reduced mobility. However, not all rooms necessarily have the specific amenities. We recommend contacting our partner at the following address: stayinlyon@lyon2025.com. They can offer you a tailored solution at preferential rates, adapted to your specific needs.

The Lyon TCL network offers several options for individuals with reduced mobility:

  • Tramways: Fully accessible to wheelchair users.

  • Buses: All vehicles are equipped with low floors and designated spaces for wheelchairs. However, approximately 70% of stops are designed to facilitate access for individuals with reduced mobility.

  • Metro:

    • Lines B and D are accessible to all types of wheelchairs.

    • Lines A and C are primarily accessible to manual wheelchairs; some stations may present challenges for electric wheelchairs.

For detailed and up-to-date information on network accessibility, please consult the dedicated TCL page: https://www.tcl.fr/en/journey-info/accessibility

Additional Services

  • Optibus: If your disability prevents you from using the standard public transport network, Optibus offers a door-to-door public transport service, subject to approval by an access commission. For more information, visit the Optibus website or contact 04 37 24 24 24.

  • TL Access: A service offered by Taxi Lyonnais, allowing you to book an adapted vehicle with a ramp for your travels in Lyon and its region. These vehicles can transport one person in a wheelchair accompanied by four able-bodied individuals.

We recommend planning your trips in advance and checking the accessibility of the stations and stops you intend to use to ensure an optimal travel experience.

The EuroGames village will be located at Place du Maréchal Lyautey (Lyon 6th).

🚌 Access:

  • Metro A: accessible to manual wheelchairs

  • Bus C4 and 27: accessible to people with reduced mobility

The village is situated on a flat and smooth area with a stabilized surface. Some very slight irregularities (dips and bumps) may be present, but the site remains accessible to manual and electric wheelchairs, as well as to visually impaired or blind individuals.

⚠️ Note: When arriving from Hôtel de Ville (west side), the access features some steps or steep slopes that may require assistance.

🚻 Accessible restrooms will be available on-site.
🛋️ A rest area will be accessible, offering the possibility to isolate oneself, sit, or lie down.

ℹ️ More information about other event locations will be communicated soon.
